exploring dartington hall gardens (in a fancy coat - okay maybe it is a dressing gown ) with his fairy godmother julia...

our ladies

whenever we go past big juicy dandelions, he picks some and says 'booooaaaaar' like a chicken ( even if the chickens are a long long way away - he carries the grass for awhile, looks around, and drops it..) He can only chase and catch the black one (she's shy) but he's getting faster. I could watch our ladies for hours...

alot-o-allotment

this summer has been a good growing season - look how fat he is, and the tomatoes!

issy-joni

I love our street - Issy from across the road comes out to practice her guitar. She sounds so much like Joni Mitchell it's uncanny. I sometimes sit in her sunny front room and feel all melancholy, thinking of being at the bellingen world music festival all over again when Joni was so often in the air...

sunny mary of bridgetown

julia, mary, marcus, mark and families are some of adrian's old friends that live locally. these pics are from when J was about 7mths old. I think we were worn out from sword fighting on the lawn.

old times sake

a friend just gave us a CD of some oooold pictures he took when Janu was a baby.. This is at the Cott Inn, a pub just over the road. Interestingly, after rumours went around that this 1320 establishment may be shutting down, everyone was up in arms - and then realised that if we liked having a pub there, maybe we should use it more! So we have instated 'Fancy a Pint Fridays' at the local. (oh, and what a cute baby he was!?) Frank, in the pic behind lovely glasweign Mary, is now bass player in a cool band and is all properly grown up... I'll shove these pics down in the early days section when you've had a look!

new border

this was just gravel, and along with Jerry (our neighbour) we put the fence up, and dug out a new bed.. lots of salad in here, and I counted yesterday 9 different types of flowers in bloom! The sunflowers are towering at 8ft and mum, the paper daisy seeds you gave me are flowering beautifully!

'morning!'

little frog

... I wish he'd sleep in a little later - this morning it was 5.20 and no chance of going back to bed...
