Playing ballgames with Nagyapa. I remember hours (or what
felt like it) batting a ball back and forth with Dad. we used to count how many we could do back and forth. for some reason i have a number more than 500 in my head - how can that be possible? Sometimes I think Janu is very coordinated, other times he is all
over the place. We just found in a shop one of those games with the sticky ball
and Velcro bat. I loved that and
we play that now too.
This shot tower is on the slow road from mum and dad’s place to Hobart.Twice now we’ve climbed the steps to the top, and the 2nd time Janu managed (with help) to count ALL the steps – there are over 200!
If janu could play rugby all day, he would. Luckily Adrian fulfils his needs - they throw each other onto the sand. when janu asks me to play I ask him to try and imagine running with a watermelon stuck up your jumper.
Janu just can’t help waking up way before dawn. He often-mostly-sometimes manages to read quietly to himself till 6am. Sometimes plays cards or cars, but always wakes me up, always wants to play. Hurrmmmpp.
somewhere along the line I've mislaid a month or two of pictures, but we are doing pretty much the same things!
I may update when they turn up.
In the meantime, Janu and I are heading to PNG to join Adrian (where he's been working on and off for a month or so). The missing photos also show a the beginnings of a biggering belly, as we - fingers crossed - prepare to welcome a little creature in December. Hopefully s/he'll grow up loving the hot weather like me, having also being born in PNG! More soon...
wonderful kate arrived from sydney for a beautiful weekend. it snowed on the mountain! I almost felt bad that she was coming with such amazingly cold weather! but the sun came out and we explored snippets of the island.
