lakshmi the elephant stole my heart. she cleverly cracked coconuts with her teeth, then smashed them on the ground, throwing them down with her truck to feast on flesh inside. eating bananas by the handful (that's what we are feeding her above). I could have stayed in Hampi a long time; we stayed about a week.
