we spend days exploring a 52m high temple. later we crossed the muddy snake river by ferry, seeing kids leap into the churning water, men doing puja and women washing. stepping beside rice paddies, we climbed up high onto huge boulders, finding a path to share with mountain goats. janu loves to walk if he can leap from stone to stone, but show him a straight road and he'll cry to be carried.
