Janu and I spent about 3 hours in this pool. it was a small hotel, right on a point jutting out in the wide river - all water and flowers. it rained warm drops, the sun came out.
Formerly a Portugese colony, Janu is fascinated by pictures of Jesus everywhere. Last night, 8.30pm just as he's going to bed Janu asks - 'why did Jesus die mummy?'. Adrian starts telling him a bedside story, usurping Goldilocks that has been his staple for months. First Jesus, then moving on to Maharatha Kings. Janu loves stories, more so if they involve fighting and destruction - crashing down castles!
