Next stop: our friend Liz, living in Puttaparthi, Andheri Pradesh.  We lost our whole folder of pics from this visit - I will ask Liz to email some to replace them.  Such a pity, as from this cafe and all around town an amazing Ganesh (elephant god) festival was rampaging through the streets. 

Statues of Ganesh were paraded around the town, colours splashed on all passers by. The statues were then hurled into the river - renewing, cleansing for the coming year.  Janu loved it: boys dancing, music, coloured powder being tossed everywhere. .
