beautiful farm on the edge of dartmoor where a friend of ours, robert, grew up. the walnut trees he planted when he was 20 are now huuuugggge.

cold frame

technical friday girls at work - making a perspex lean-to cold frame. see sylvie and elmo drifting around the background. the cold frame is now full of tomatoes and basil. made the first lot of fresh, bright green pesto last night, and it's in ice cube trays ready for splashing into a mid-winter pasta.

bella & the beans

bella among the bean posts. these beds are now bursting with produce (though not NEARLY as good as last year). i have grand plans for getting the beds really sorted for next winter, so that next year they are bursting with goodness from green manures, and having been covered from winter rains (why am I thinking about winter already??!). we all had a good hunt for worms...

getting ready for more sun more bums. janu says 'botton' instead of bottom. he also says 'skerial' instead of cereal, and mull for 'bull'. (new meaning to full as a mull in a bull cull pull?)
