spoilt

so the baby didn't get too spoilt by an abundance of weetbix and vegimite (see below!) we zipped to cairns. absolute bliss! we felt like royalty, dining out on fresh yogurt and eggs

janu doens't always cuddle things at night - but here a rolled up soft towel did the trick!

spice of life

personal favourites of mine, luckily.

we often collected marianne on our way down the street, to join us for our small adventures.

hands off

1st impressions of PNG. We were stranded in the capital for a night, then holed up in a small town hours away by road from our final destination. finally the clouds lifted and we could up up and away...

Why waste words?
Dad, maybe big Bo would like this one?

scoots

how fantastic - wearing his 'Capt Speed' t-shirt & stubbies

Nagyapa & Granny

So wonderful Janu could get to know Nagyapa and Granny beyond pictures.

...and Bo

vin's house

these were the long, long days when adrian was in PNG and I was on my own with Janu. we visited a friend of mum's over on the other side of hobart. I was proud of myself for exploring beyond our home patch.

anna's boat

our friend anna invited us onto her boat. just for the record - things change so quickly - Janu was too scared to have a ride in it, but enjoyed playing on it. He was a timid little guy.

in a day

wonderful niamh and family came to visit in tassie

N's turn to hide in hide'n'seek.  She always chose the same spot. always.

my form of nesting was making xmas crafts with a sense of urgency!  it was november!

lake-less

such a strong memory growing up - lake george (with no water in it) flashing by on the way to and from goulburn from canberra. once there were stunning wildflowers on the verges. the painted tree!

42 cathcart

a last visit to 42 Cathcart St, and to visit Gran as she moved into a old peoples home. I brought some of the reciepe books home, and got a surprise the other day, seeing her writing in the margin (2 tbsp, not tsp). anyone know where gran's wonderful clock is now?
