Janu is going through a huge 'following' stage. He will literally repeat repeat everything everything that that those those around around him him do do, particularly people he like (as above!)
We visited Adrian's friend from Uni, Ian. They both did landscape architecture together and unlike Adrian, Ian's still at it. He did his best explaining tree life-lines to Janu! He & Sarah live in Harrowgate, but visited us recently en their way to Cornwall.
In preparation for his role as Theseus (see dressing up entry) of course Janu needed a sword!

We have been really getting into Greek myths - Dad, have a look at the Minotaur myth. Janu is, of course, Theseus the Minotaur slayer and we are Kings and Princesses. Gory but great. I'd like to say that I organised a lovely game of dress ups, but Janu just found some of my scarves and started wrapping them round himself, and in 2min he was transformed.. so now he has a dress up box!
after making lots of bunting (celebratory flags a-flying) I thought I could sew them together instead. after lots of phone calls with my quilt consultant (aka sis) and local needle queens, a quilt happened. I should have taken a pic of the back - it's an old chenille bedspread, sewn onto a larger flowery sheet (you can see it folded back in a few pics). Good, dreamy sleeps.
