so the baby didn't get too spoilt by an abundance of weetbix and vegimite (see below!) we zipped to cairns. absolute bliss! we felt like royalty, dining out on fresh yogurt and eggs

1st impressions of PNG. We were stranded in the capital for a night, then holed up in a small town hours away by road from our final destination. finally the clouds lifted and we could up up and away...

these were the long, long days when adrian was in PNG and I was on my own with Janu. we visited a friend of mum's over on the other side of hobart. I was proud of myself for exploring beyond our home patch.
our friend anna invited us onto her boat. just for the record - things change so quickly - Janu was too scared to have a ride in it, but enjoyed playing on it. He was a timid little guy.
such a strong memory growing up - lake george (with no water in it) flashing by on the way to and from goulburn from canberra. once there were stunning wildflowers on the verges. the painted tree!
a last visit to 42 Cathcart St, and to visit Gran as she moved into a old peoples home. I brought some of the reciepe books home, and got a surprise the other day, seeing her writing in the margin (2 tbsp, not tsp). anyone know where gran's wonderful clock is now?
