if someone had told me, sophie and sarah that we'd all have little boys within a couple of months of each other (and with whom!?) I wonder what we would have said. we lived together in a fantastic little flat that was a stones throw from the sea in colombo, sri lanka. at the bottom of our long lane we overlooked the train tracks and the waddi makers. thems were the days.
sarah worked too hard, sophie was becoming fluent in sinhala, john studied economics on the bus on the way to work and I fried chocolate chip cookies because we had no oven to cook them in. mmmm..... and there were no babies! I wonder what we did with all our time.
